![]() ![]() ![]() General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems was contracted to build the vehicle in four-seat M1161 ITV-LSV (Internally Transportable Light Strike Vehicle) and shorter two-seat M1163 “prime mover” variants. The Growler was designed by American Growler in the late 1990s in response to the US Marine Corps’ need for a light strike vehicle that could be carried by a V-22 Osprey and other aircraft. This M1161 Growler Internally Transportable Light Strike Vehicle is now offered in New Jersey with a clean New York title in the seller’s name. Equipment includes an integral roll cage, hold-down and lift rings, adjustable pneumatic suspension, an onboard tire inflation system, and a fire extinguisher. ![]() The truck was purchased by the seller in 2019, and subsequent reconditioning work performed by Rasmussen Equipment Rentals of Murietta, California, included a replacement bikini-style soft top, repairs to the onboard air compressor system, a replacement control joystick for the rear steering system, dash repairs, new battery cables, a new fuel filter, and an oil change. This 2010 General Dynamics M1161 Growler is finished in military camouflage green and is powered by a 2.8-liter turbodiesel inline-four paired with a four-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. ![]()
